Wolfwatcher, those are some really nice points, great work. And those Solberger points are awesome, definitely a piece of history there. Didn't he invent or re-invent the fluting jig as we know it?

Hillbilly:  Solly, as he was called, did make a fluting jig and I have one somewhere packed away, but have never used it.  We became long distance friends in the late 50s and early 60s.  I sent him elk and deer horns, some obsidian and he sent me a collection of his work and some Texas flint.  He also was one of the first to heat treat some of that tough Texas flint.  He was a scholar about his work and I have several pages of his notes. He was an inspiration for me.  Watcher

Solberger, that guys is a legend.. I'd feel very honerd to own one of his points.. Thats something special you have there.

This is a Pre-form i have rdy to make into a fine pinetree, i am not very experienced making pinetrees.. so i thought I'd post some photos before i mess it up.

Jesse....instead....why dont you just send that nasty looking old rock to me....I can put it on my Dresser with them other nasty rock chips you sent me....and that way it won't get broke!!!

Looks a bit smallish for a Glass Buttes point. Ask him to post one of the bigger ones!  ;D  I bet you think I'm kidding, too!!!
