It's unanimous that's a sweet bow Jesse. I too make lots of backed bows, but I probably prefer getting the most out of a good stave as well.
Is that snow?

Thanks Rich. Yup thats snow and its coming down again today. If we get 2 more inches it will be the new record for Dec. we already broke a hundred + year record
Dana that stave was nice and straight but It did have some prop twist and after taking that out one limb was way off to the side so I got to play with the heat gun a bit.
I do remember Bob. How could anyone forget bob with all those scars and gravel stuck in the back
I welcome the challenge.

Ya know Jesse, I just keep comin' back to look at your bow. That's my favorite style bow, flatbow with reflex. I think I'm gonna' have to try makin' one. If mine comes out half as good as yours did, I'll be a happy camper. Again, very good job.

Yessir Jesse, that is one sweeet bow! I bet it shoots as good as it looks too.
Are those tip overlays, or did you leave extra wood out on the tips to serve as "built in" overlays?
Either way it looks nice.
You don't post many, but when you do, it's something to look at.

Much appreciated Saw Filer Those are overlays of ebony. I got some cheap a while back and finally used up the last of it on this bow. I just got a buffalo hide and head so my overlays will be horn for a while now

Jesse, that's a mighty fine looking bow, all around just about as close to perfect as you can get. Great tiller, great detail work and finish, looks like a smooth shooter, too, I'll bet. Great job!

That's a beauty for sure. If I may, when you take photos with white backgrounds....like bright snow....use fill flash to highlight the subject. White backgrounds shut down the f-stop on auto cameras and you don't get much detail on the actual subject. Fill flash my friend and we will see more of that beautiful piece. Take some photos of that on a darker background, like a pastel blanket or deer hide, etc., so we can get a good look at her. Very nice.

Jesse, I'm sorry...this one got by me somehow without my seeing it until now. Really a good looking bow. The tiller looks great and a good job on the dye/finish work. I'm sure she will spit an arrow as well! Very nice!
